IBM in Littleton & Westford

Just recently IBM hosted a meeting with Mass Secretary Housing & Economic Development Dan O’Connell, Senator Pam Resor, officials from a variety of state agencies including Mass Highway, the MBTA, and local officials. IBM announced that their Westford-Littleton Campus will be their largest software campus in the world and both sites have the ability for further growth. The first influx of employees at the Littleton facility will happen this November and full capacity will occur around January of 2010. Secretary San O’Connell stated the the Govenor has expresses a great interest in IBM’s move. Many topics were covered including transportation. IBM even expressed interest that would allow residents to park at their Littleton site and take a shuttle that will also be bringing their employees to and from the rail station.

Westford Town Hall

Board of Health – School Administration Building, 23 Dept Rd.
Town Mananger, Town Clerk, Tax Collector – Police Dept. 53 Main St.

Littleton Tax Rate set for 2008

The Littleton Board of Selectmen held the annual property tax classification hearing on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 7:30 PM. The purpose of the hearing, held pursuant to MGL C.40,s.56, was to determine the allocation of the local property tax levy among the five property classes for Fiscal Year 2008. The Board of Assessors provided the following information regarding the various policy decisions available: Presentation1 Presentation 2 Presentation 3 10-year Res cf. CIP Following the Assessors’ presentation, the Board of Selectmen voted to adopt Option No. 5, to establish the residential factor at 0.9060, producing similar percentage increases for the average residential and commercial tax bills.
